Injectables are used to relax facial wrinkles and folds (such as “smile lines”), contour the body (such as reducing the appearance of a “double chin”) and improve the signs of facial fat loss by creating structure, framework and volume to the face and lips. There are different types of injectable procedures that improve various areas of concern.

Neurotoxin injections (i.e. Botox Cosmetic®, Jeuveau™, Dysport®, and Xeomin®) are the single most popular injectable cosmetic procedure in the U.S. These treatments are most commonly used to smooth wrinkles around the eyes, frown lines, and forehead creases. However, many patients are surprised to learn that neurotoxins can also be used to slim the face and lift the brow and to address conditions like hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), migraines, and TMJ.
In our practice, we offer each of the current neurotoxins on the market (Botox Cosmetic®, Jeuveau™, Dysport®, and Xeomin®) and will be happy to discuss the subtle differences between them to help you determine the best option for you based on your unique anatomy and treatment goals.
As we age, the collagen and elastin in the skin degrade and we begin to lose subcutaneous fat. Dermal fillers can be safely used to restore volume and fullness and diminish lines and wrinkles. The results can be very natural looking and long-lasting.

We offer an impressive variety of dermal fillers to fill, augment, and contour the face including:
⦁ Juvederm Volbella®
⦁ Juvederm Voluma XC®
⦁ Juvederm Ultra®
⦁ Restylane®
⦁ Restylane Refyne®
⦁ Restylane Defyne®
⦁ Restylane Silk®
⦁ Restylane Lyft®
⦁ Revanesse® Versa™
⦁ Belotero®
⦁ Radiesse®
Dermal Fillers differ with respect to their consistency, longevity, and chemical make-up and proper selection is key. An individualized consult ensures that each patient receives custom recommendations tailored to meet their goals.
For patients hoping to address the underlying cause of facial aging and not just the symptoms, Sculptra Aesthetic® is a great option.
Sculptra® is not a dermal filler, but a collagen stimulator. Also known as a global volumizer, this fabulous product encourages the formation of new collagen in the injected area for soft, natural, gradual results. Sculptra Aesthetic® can be used as a stand-alone treatment or in tandem with other foundational treatments like Ultherapy®. Dermal Fillers can also be used in conjunction with Sculptra® for patients experiencing greater volume loss.
Multiple treatments are required approximately 4-6 weeks apart and an average full treatment consists of three appointments. Results last for up to two years.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is a natural option for reversing the signs of aging! PRP, which uses your body’s own plasma (rich in growth factors and proteins) has many aesthetic applications. Applied topically with treatments such as microneedling (commonly referred to as a “vampire facial”), or injected in the tissue (aka “vampire facelift”), PRP rejuvenates the skin by promoting the growth of collagen and elastin, making it more youthful, tighter, and smoother. PRP also plays a significant role in hair restoration. We use it with and without umbilical stem cells to treat hair loss with great success. PRP is safe for all skin types and tones and can be a great option for patients looking to leverage our body’s remarkable ability to heal and rejuvenate itself.

What is Kybella?
KYBELLA® is the only FDA-approved injectable treatment indicated to treat moderate to severe fat accumulation or “Double Chin”. Kybella is typically used for fat that has accumulated in the chin area, however Kybella can also be used to treat fat around the bra area, knees, abdomen and more.
How Does Kybella Work?
Kybella Produces amazing results! The active ingredient in Kybella is synthetic deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring molecule in the body that breaks down and absorbs fat by breaking down cell membranes of fat cells. When injecting Kybella, the response is that fat cells are targeted to destruction. The dissolved fat then gets cleared by the lymphatic and circulatory systems, as any waste product in our bodies does. These target fat cells remove themselves gradually over the span of several weeks. As for the Kybella/deoxycholic acid, it follows the same path; It gets metabolized and broken down, and then excreted as waste.
The actual time required to complete the procedure is about 15 to 20 minutes, and patients can return to work or their daily routine immediately afterward.
Multiple injection sessions at monthly intervals are required to achieve optimal improvement. While most patients achieved desired reduction within three double chin treatment injection sessions, up to six sessions may be required.
Since Kybella® destroys the unwanted fat, subsequent treatments after an ideal look is achieved are not expected. Once the fat is gone, it is gone.
According to the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, 7 out of 10 people — women and men alike — are frustrated by submental fullness: the presence of subcutaneous fat that can detract from an otherwise pleasing appearance. One of the most persistent and visible signs of such fat is along the neck beneath the chin, often leading patients to seek double chin treatment. Though the chin and neck are frequently overlooked by patients hoping to improve their appearance, these features function as an important frame for the face, and a change there can dramatically improve the way you look. The presence of submental fat, whether due to genetics, diet, aging, or some combination of the three, can add the impression of both years and pounds to a person’s face.
